Things I Love Thursdays

Stolen from Fort Cox, it's Things I Love Thursdays! While I'm beginning the addiction of blogging, I'm also stealing some ideas from the blogs I've become so incredibly addicted to reading. Stay tuned for Wordless Wednesdays and Not Me! Mondays! I'm such a nerd, because I'm super excited in participating in these posts! :)

First thing. I love this time of year because it's Girl Scout Cookie time!! Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Samoas, MMMMM. I can't get enough of them. This year was somewhat of a disappointment. Because of the economy, the Girl Scouts were forced to produce less cookies in the box for the same price as last year. My poor checkbook couldn't possibly stock my freezer full of Girl Scout cookies for an entire year, so I'm savoring my four boxes that I purchased this year. Although it is quite fun to find my wonderful fiance stashing away Thin Mints in the freezer in hopes I forget them! HA! He's sadly mistaken.

Secondly, it's spring weather season!! I absolutely loathe winter months because I hate the cold so much. I can't wait until the temperature remains OVER 60 at all times. I love my summer clothes and dresses, and feel so confined in a winter coat. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to wait much longer for spring weather to be here to stay.

Third and finally for this post, I absolutely LOVE The Confessions of a Shopaholic. My sister and I began reading these books years ago, long before a movie was ever thought of. As she became more addicted to the series, she would let me borrow her copies and we began to share the addiction. They are completely shallow, girly, HILARIOUS books. It's so funny to read about Rebecca Bloomwood and the crazy situations she finds herself in. My sister and I went to see the movie this past weekend as a part of her birthday celebration. The movie is completely different from the books. In fact, the movie combines a lot of the mishaps from the first two books, so I'm hoping for a sequel! Isla Fisher is such a talented actress, and so funny! She represents Rebecca Bloomwood exactly the way I would have pictured her being from the books. Get your girlfriends and go see this movie!

Well, that's it for now! :)

I've wanted to start the Shopaholic series for a LONG time. Except now I don't have much time to read because of that whole stupid college thing that I have going on!! But once summer arrives, I fully intend to start that series. By then, the dvd will be out ;] So I can enjoy that too!

& they messed up the Princess Diaries movies too.. and the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants. The only book series that hasn't been TOO messed up is Harry Potter. Thank the Lord for that!
