When I was 19, I wrecked my precious 1999 Toyota Solara. I loved that car, it was great on gas mileage and had lots of room. But, I had to cut ties with it and move on to what I have been driving since 2005. My white 2002 P.T. Cruiser, fittingly named Petey:
I loved good ol' Petey. It was a great little car, and I loved that people told me it was a mobster car. Since I married an Italian and all, it seemed very fitting that I drive a mobster car. ;) No, Jason's family is NOT in the mafia, but I like to tease him about it anyway. But, Petey just got too many miles on him, and I was about to enter the realm of extensive car repair if I didn't trade him in. We decided that I needed something reliable, car seat friendly, and able to endure MANY years of driving.
Say hello to Rhonda! (Named by one of my besties, Ashlee.) It's a beautiful 2009 Honda Civic, and I'm in LOVE with it!
We are hoping this car gets us through the next few years without children, and then the first few years WITH children as well. It is definitely kid-friendly. While test driving it, we stopped at my sisters house. Riley climbed right in, nodded her head and said: "Whoa whoa whoa whoa!" So I like to say that Riley made the final call on our new purchase!
