Jennifer Creed

So I haven't posted my HUGE rave over my wedding photographer, Jennifer Creed. She is FANTASTIC!!! I have two posts just for her, one with my favorite photos, and the second gushing over the beautiful wedding album she created for us.

Let's get started shall we?
This is one of my favorite shots of the back of my dress. I LOVE the lighting in this shot, it makes it look so vintage.
There are several of these shots that I just love. We had a beautiful first dance, and she got so many great shots of it!

Oh gosh, I just love these by the willow tree and pond. What a beautiful golf course!!

ULTIMATE favorite. This picture has its own two page spread in my album. Simply beautiful.

Inside the hotel.

In my room right after I got dressed.

I think this shot is just so neat, especially with the train of my dress the way it is.

Look at that sweet man. I love that Jenny's husband, Chris, got this fabulous picture of his first expression after he saw me.

Is he cute or what????

Our rings. I have no idea where she set them up to do this, but it's gorgeous.

Love this photo of the two of us. One of my favorites.
Taking a moment together.

In the lobby of the hotel. Love this one too.
I love this one because he looks so dang hot in it. HAHA!

I never thought the exterior of this hotel was very pretty until Jenny took this shot. How gorgeous is this?!?!
One of my favorites with me and my ladies.

My wonderful hubby helping me jump the fence.

In the glass elevator.
A beautiful shot of my dress in the hotel room.

This one just seems so soft and peaceful to me.

Jason loved his Chucks! :)
One of my favorite ceremony shots.
This shot HAS to make the top 5 favorites. Jenny worked SO hard on this, and so did the wedding party! They literally RAN across the shot, and in circles trying to make this work for us. Fabulous!
Jason just looks so happy in this picture. I love his smile.
This shot is just so dang COOL!! I think she got some weird looks from some of the family while they were watching her work on this shot, but she definitely knew what she wanted to get!

Last but CERTAINLY not least, Jason's favorite shot of the day. He LOVES The Beatles, and the Abbey Road album is his favorite. This is an imitation of the cover of that album. Jason LOVES it.
If there is ANYONE that is engaged, you HAVE to contact her for your engagement photos or your wedding. Jenny and Chris are absolutely phenomenal, and they did everything that we ever could have asked for and more. They worked their tails off all day long to make sure they got every picture they possibly could from the day. Even after I told them that they could head home, seeing the exhaustion in her face, they stayed with us. They stayed with us until the moment we left our reception, and even a few moments after to get some photos of hugs and tears. Check out her website, and CONTACT HER!!!

Sigh...

*Disclaimer: I'm actually in a really good mood today, I've just been working on this post for a few days now.

I'm not even going to lie. I'm bummed out. It's nearing the end of August, and I hate the ends of summers. Not only is summer my favorite season for the warm weather to heat up my cold natured self, my favorite people in the world always venture back to good old Bowling Green and we get to spend tons of time together. It's always fantastic to see my best friends again, and always bittersweet when we part ways in August.

This summer particularly sucks though. Not only are the usual people heading off in their new directions this summer, but some of my regular home frequenters are too!! My favorite co-worker and friend has moved down to Texas to be with her husband as he starts law school. The office is sad and not nearly as fun as it used to be without her. Luckily she texts and calls once in a while, and I get my dose of her humor.

Not only did Sarah leave, but my longest and best friend Ashlee is moving to New York City to pursue a career on Broadway! I know she will be fantastic, and I can't wait to make a trip up there to see her perform. It's weird and strange to know that she won't be 10 minutes away at any given moment. It's weird to think that she's not going to come by at 10pm just for 30 minutes for the sake of saying "Hey" and to escape reality for a bit. Don't get me wrong here-we are lucky that we do have so many wonderful friends here during ANY season. I'm thrilled for everyone that is heading off for new dreams and endeavors, but it is a bummer that so many are leaving.

Sigh. I hate the end of summers. It also means that it's about to get cold outside, and I absolutely hate the cold. I love Kentucky, but I wish we didn't have winters. I'd be perfectly fine without snow for the rest of my life. Jason, on the other hand, loves the cold and snow. I guess moving to a tropical location and selling handmade crafts won't work too well. I guess its time to suck it up and accept that winter is near.

I wonder how Fenway will like the snow.

On A Lighter Note...

What a silly puppy!! He's so precious.

We  currently put Fenway in his "bed" when we run errands and go to work since he isn't housebroken just yet.  He's doing very well, but accidents still happen too frequently for our full trust in him.  He doesn't mind his little bed, he sleeps there every night too!  We always put a chew toy and a stuffed animal in there with him.  This is what Fenway did tonight when we put him and his penguin buddy in there:
We are so glad to know that Fenway has a buddy to guard the house for us when we are gone.

More Prayers

UPDATE: I hate to have to update this post, but Jason's dear friend Pat passed away either last night or this morning. We are so thankful that he was able to spend some special and quality time with his family over these past few months, and he did not suffer for very long. Please continue to pray for them.

ORIGINAL POST:
I know I feel like my blog has been full of bad news lately, and I apologize. But I need you guys again! I have two more prayer requests that I would love for you to keep in mind over these next several, difficult days.

My cousin Amy, and her boyfriend Ed have recently lost a very special member of their family. Ed's grandmother passed away yesterday. She has been sick for a while, in the hospital for surgery, moved to a rehab place for recovery, back to the ICU, and then to Hospice. While they knew that this was coming, it is obviously still such a difficult time. Please pray for them and Ed's entire family as they try to find peace and comfort.

For our wedding, Jason and I decided to have a dear friend of Jason's family play the piano during the ceremony and at the reception. Pat is a beautiful musician, and a very loved church friend of the entire family. Pat and his wife, Heather have two children around our age. Two months before the wedding, Pat received the terrible diagnosis of pancreatic and liver cancer. Just a few weeks before the wedding, the doctors discovered a tumor on Heather's brain. Treatments began immediately for the both of them, and we were obviously, understandable, but unfortunately unable to see them on our wedding day. This sweet family STILL managed to think of us, and send us a beautiful, loving card just days before our ceremony. They are always thinking of others, no matter what the circumstance. But now is the time that they need people thinking of them. Pat's chemo is not helping, and they have chosen to stop treatments. He no longer has an appetite, and eating causes extreme discomfort. He has chosen to decline any exterior alternatives of nutrition. We received the email yesterday that Pat was now mostly unresponsive, but Hospice is making them as comfortable as they can be. Please pray for this sweet family. Heather is also due for her test results in the coming days on the progress of her chemo and radiation treatments. Their children need prayers for their struggle of the possibility of losing both parents so quickly, Heather needs prayers for her strength to continue to fight her diagnosis as well as comfort for losing her best friend. I know you all don't know any of these people I've been talking about lately, but I also know that you guys are awesome enough that it doesn't matter.

I hope to begin blogging about happier, more upbeat things in the near future. Until then, love to you all!

Prayer Requests

I have some prayer requests for you all to keep on your heart.

First of all, my oldest cousin and his wife have recently given birth to a beautiful baby girl.   Anyway, the baby is beautiful and healthy, but her mother is experiencing some health issues.  She has been returned to the hospital due to the cause of some severe headaches.  I'd rather not go into extreme detail simply because I do not know how much information they would want posted to those they may not know. We are all concerned for her health, and my cousins are frustrated at the loss of time with their baby girl so early in her life.  Please pray for her peace, comfort, and strength.  Pray for the doctors wisdom to do what is best for her so she can go home to be with her child as soon as possible.  Pray for my cousin, who struggles with the frustration of leaving his child in the care of others while he sits with his wife.  Pray for my aunt and uncle, who are enduring more sleepless nights than they expected by staying with the baby so that my cousin can be with his wife as much as possible.

Secondly, for my sweet friend Sarah and her husband, Austin.  Sarah and Austin left Bowling Green yesterday for their new life in Texas.  Austin will be starting law school in a few weeks, and this is a big change for the both of them.  Although Texas is Austin's home state, they will not be living close to Austin's family during his time in school, and Sarah's family remains in Tennessee.  Please pray for an easy transition and adjustment; that they will be able to meet and make new friends quickly; and that Sarah will be able to find a job quickly to support the two of them while he begins his studies.  Also, Sarah has recently joined the bloggy world and is requesting some followers!! ;)  She only has a few updates, but promises that she would update more as they are settled and as her follower list grows!!

Love to you all.
