Thankful Thursday

I've started my new job as of yesterday and tonight, I'm most thankful for the simple things.  My beautiful home, my supportive family, my dearest friends.  Due to confidentiality, I cannot share with you some things that I would like.  However, over the past few days I have seen some incredibly sad stories and situations that bring on behavioral/mental health issues in children.  Tonight, if you feel lead to do so, please just say a prayer for these children that go home to much less than ideal situations.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to see these situations, because not only do I have a chance to make an impact, but I have been given another chance to comprehend just how blessed I really am.

most definitely, paigey. those kids go unnoticed, forgotten, and they slip between the cracks. it's a very very sad world. i'm sooo glad that people like you have the honor and opportunity to help those little ones who cannot help themselves. working with kiddos is THE BEST job in the world!!! none other can compare :]

How amazing that God is using you in an area where so much love and help is needed. I can't imagine how sad it must be to see what these kids go through, and I'm sure it will get pretty discouraging at times. But it's amazing that you get to make a difference.

Today in one of my classes, a group gave a presentation on the book "A Child Called It." They reminded me just how awful some kids' lives are, and you reminded me again. I will say extra prayers for those kids tonight!

I'm sure it's hard to see everyday, but at least you are there to help them. Will say a prayer now...

That's so amazing that you're able to do those thing for others. And I totally know what you mean. Since I work in the hospital, I see all kinds of sick people and hear all types of heartbreaking life stories, and it just makes me count my blessings so much more :-) I'm so glad that you are loving your job, and that feel like you're making a difference :-)
