...or maybe 90% of the population is just stupid.
I'm a total grouch tonight, but seriously, you can't win for losing when you are pregnant. People are going to say whatever the heck is on their minds at any given time no matter how rude, inappropriate, or obnoxious it may be. Why? I think it has something to do with they KNOW you won't say anything back. If you don't bite your tongue, they blame your hormones for being "too sensitive." So of course it's perfectly acceptable to make remarks about a pregnant womans size, appearance, birth choices, and due dates. You can get away with being a total jerk and still be the "innocent victim" of the hormone monster that overtakes a woman's mind when she decides that things are unacceptable to say. Seriously.
I've mentioned multiple times that I am physically and mentally ok with going past my due date. My only worry is that I will go too far past my due date and require medical intervention. Other than that concern, I'm 100% ok with still being pregnant today. I understand that women get a lot of questions related to anticipating the arrival of a child because they are trying to show their support and excitement. I'm thrilled that there are so many people excited for Ethan's arrival but how many times in a day can I answer "Is that baby here yet?!" I feel horrible for thinking, "Has anyone called you? Didn't I promise to call you? Then no, he's obviously not here..."
My current favorite are the "regular" check-ins for "have you had that baby yet, I'm so ready for you to have him" and when I tell them no, they tell me to be patient and that he will come when he is ready. Seriously people, which is it?
My Facebook account has a lot of my family members on it. Several of them do not live near us, and it is a great way for us to keep everyone updated all at once. With that said, if I don't post a "baby watch" update on a regular basis, I get 8 million questions, complaints, e-mails, texts, calls, etc. wanting to know why I'm not updating. When I do update, (and I typically try to make funny with YouTube videos, links, etc.) I get 8 million questions, complaints, e-mails, texts, calls, etc. wanting to tell me why I shouldn't be so impatient for his arrival.
Sigh. Rant over. I guess it's the hormones tonight. ;)

It's a never-ending battle. :(
It is never ending. I was thinking about you today and hoping that you are hanging in there. I am having more crazy MIL drama over life stuff and what is put on my blog - go figure! Babies come when they are ready, Ethan will be here before you know it. My FIL told me yesterday he thinks baby girl is coming on the 10th (my EDD is 7-31) so I know as soon as that date passes everyone will be hounding me. daily. Ugh.
