This is your very first taste of Thanksgiving! This time next year, someone will likely be sneaking you a bite of Granny's famous mashed potatoes. But this year, I get to be the only one to share Thanksgiving with you. :)
In just a few years, you will learn about the Pilgrims, the Mayflower, the Native Americans, and our countries very first Thanksgiving. Daddy and I, as well as your school, will teach you to be thankful for everything in your life. I want you to grow up with appreciation for the small things in life, as well as the bigger things.
Your Daddy and I are so blessed, and are so thankful that we have the chance to bring you into a world full of blessings. You are coming into a world of a wonderful, supportive family that want nothing more than to see you excel and be happy. We have been blessed with jobs that are able to provide you with all your needs. We have been blessed to attend a wonderful church that we cannot wait to introduce you to. We have been blessed with a numerous amount of friends that will hopefully teach you what true friendship is all about. We cannot wait to share all of these blessings with you.
When you learn about Thanksgiving, you will be around people who spend time reflecting on their lives and the things they are thankful for. With all of the wonderful blessings that Daddy and I have received throughout our lives, it is without question that YOU are our biggest blessing. I am most thankful for you, and each year as Thanksgiving rolls around, that will always be what I will tell you when you ask me what I am thankful for. I'm most thankful for you.
